The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Zamfara State Chapter led by the State Chairperson Comrade Jamila Musa Kanoma paid a familiarisation visit to the General Manager Gold City FM Gusau.
The Chairperson while introducing the association said, the visit was to negotiate a possible symbiotic relationship, leading to a possible partnership which would help to promote both parties’ interest, enable us to effectively communicate our initiatives and successes to a wider audience and furthering our objectives.
While making his remarks, the General Manager, Gold City FM , Engr. Mustapha Rabi’u Bakura, welcomed NAWOJ and congratulated the new executives on their Victory in the just concluded election, urged them to be fair to their members describing their visit as timely, especially at a time when communication is evolving and requires them to leverage new developments to increase their level of impact.
In his remarks, the Managing Director Zamfara Radio, Alh. Mu’azu Muhammad Bela, assured NAWOJ of its support in promoting awareness campaign among women in the state. “Zamfara Radio is a key strategic media house that asserts itself as an organization that stands up for good governance at all times.” He said.
The General Manager, Gamji Television and Radio, Alh. Adamu Sani Katuru, enjoined NAWOJ to change the narrative by encouraging proliferation of positive news publication, thereby helping to detoxify human society. He commended the State Chairperson for the visit and urged them to be media professionals while discharging their duties.
