The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Zamfara State Chapter has reiterated their resolve to wholesomely partner with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command in the fight against insecurity , drug abuse and other social vices.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the State Commandant of the Corps, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu, Barrister Bashir Garba Maradun who led the delegations posits that the NYCN is an umbrella youth organization saddled with the responsibilities of youth enlightenment and reformation.
The NYCN State Chairman, Barrister Bashir said that the strength of any meaningful society lies on the sanctity of the youth population.
He opined that virtually all crimes in the society today are being perpetuated by youths.
The legal luminary said that it is against this background that the apex youth organization sprung up in order to build the nation.
Barrister Bashir Garba therefore said that the National Youth Council of Nigeria is to embark on an agressive campaign and conferences on issues of insecurity and way out, also to discuss topical issues concerning the roles of Youth in a free and fair electoral processes in Nigeria.
The apex youth organization State Chairman, Barrister Bashir Garba Maradun therefore solicited for partnership with the Corps in the social crusade against insecurity, drug abuse and other social vices in the State.
He however extolled the doggedness of the Corps in the fight against insecurity, vandals and social menace bedeviling the State as perpetuated by the youth population.
Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu welcomed the leadership of the Youth organization. He said their visit was timely especially now that the 2023 General Elections are close.
Commandant Muazu advised the youth organization to be neutral and refrain from taking sides in partisan politics.
Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu warned the Youth against drug abuse and other social vices in the state.
He said that drugs are capable of jeopardizing their future if not properly checked
The NSCDC State helmsman encouraged the Youth group to embark on programs of National Unity and Peace Building in the State.
Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu, expressed readiness of the Corps to partner with the apex youth organization in all facets of their Social Crusades.
