The Zamfara state Coordination Office of the L-PRES Project has successfully conducted a two day capacity building training on Business Model Development for Pasture Development .
The event was held at the Army Officers Mess and Suites in Gusau, bringing together key stakeholders in the livestock and Agriculture Value chains.
The training, facilitated by ,Dr. Ibrahim Yusuf from the Kaduna Ranch Development Company, focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge on:- Developing sustainable business models for pasture investment , Identifying and mitigating risks in pasture development ,Crafting effective business plans Participating in hands-on practical sessions and Evaluating training outcomes for future application
While welcoming participants, Nasiru Mohammed, the L-PRES State Project Coordinator, noted that the training aligns with the goals of the L-PRES project to enhance livestock productivity and pasture availability.
He expressed gratitude to the Zamfara State Government through the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the National Coordination Office of the project for their continued support and commitment to capacity development.
Participants were drawn from diverse sectors including the Cattle Breeders Association, Miyetti Allah, Women in Agriculture groups, Agricultural Extension Agents, and other relevant stakeholders.
The training is another step in strengthening Zamfara’s livestock sector through practical, inclusive, and sustainable approaches.
