Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON has assured to provide qualitative religious and western education through sufficient provision of funds and infrastructure.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu affirmed this at the closing of a two-day national preaching session organized by the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), in Birnin Kebbi.
He made it clear that, the three tiers of government were constitutionally bound to dispense dividends of democracy to the citizenry such as the provision of quality western and Islamic education, as well as entrenchment of moral values into the society.
The governor informed the gathering that President Muhammadu Buhari and himself attached high esteem to the JIBWIS, the council of Ulama and other religious groups in the country.
Senator Atiku Bagudu explained that the Kebbi state government instantly donated N15 million towards the successful hosting of the special preaching session of the Izala movement.
The governor said his administration has introduced the teaching of modern education into 3,543 Islamiyya schools in the state and engaged 15,401 facilitators to serve as teachers.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended the leadership of JIBWIS and other religious groups for their fervent prayers for peace, unity and socioeconomic prosperity of Nigeria.
He forwarded the request of the Deaf Muslims Association of Nigeria for inclusion into the activities of the movement and the use of interpreters during preaching sessions.
The National Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ikamatus Sunnah, JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau thanked all Muslims from within and outside Nigeria for attending the two day national preaching session held in Birnin Kebbi.
He requested the adherent of Islamic faith to imbibe and put into practice what they have learnt at the session, saying the glorious Qur’an must always be their source of inspiration.
The Islamic scholar admonished politicians and their followers to desist from the politics of bitterness and hatred, urging Nigerians to pray for sustenance of peace, unity and security nationwide.
Sheikh Bala Lau remarked that, Allah HAS already appointed the next President of Nigeria and other leaders at all levels, what remained was to reveal their identity at the appropriate time.
The Islamic cleric expressed concern about the high level of drug addiction among youths which was detrimental to societal wellbeing.
The Izala Chairman expressed profound appreciation to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for sustaining support to Da’awah programme in Kebbi state as well as moral and financial support to Izala to conduct its activities.
Other clerics who spoke at the preaching session were Sheikh Abubakar Giro Argungu, Sheikh Kabiru Gombe, Sheikh Mallam Aliyu Adarawa, Sheikh Professor Abdullahi Sale Pakistan Kano and Sheikh Ahmed Koko.
