The Kaduna State house of assembly committee on aappropriation, implementation, local government and rural development has commenced the budget screening excirses for the Twenty Three local government areas councils in Kaduna state.
The budget defence excirses headed by the Chairman house committee on appropriation, Honourable Yunusa Shehu, a member representing kubau constituency, held at Members Common Room at state house of assembly complex in Kaduna.
The All Twenty Three local government councils were expected to defend the appropriate sum of One hundred and fifty two billions, One hundred and twenty one millions, seven hundred and seventy one thousand,One hundred forty Naira, Eighty one kobo only, (N152,121,771,148.81, for the 2026 fiscal year.
The first day for the budget defence excirses was attendanded by eight local government councils; Soba, Kachia, Zangon Kataf, Kajuru, Sabon Gari,Chikun, jema’a, and Jaba local government.
All the councils Chairmen’s have reiterated their commitment in providing portables water, education roads and securities as their top priority areas, especially the areas facing insecurity challenge’s.
They however pledged to partner with state internal revenue service for the creation of revenues to their respective communities for councils income and avoidance in federal allocation reliances.
