The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has donated improved seeds to wheat farmers in Zamfara state.
The state director in charge of the FMARD office, Gusau, Prince Musa Raji at the launching ceremony said the gesture was geared towards boasting wheat cultivation during the 2022/2023 Dry season farming in some identified irrigation areas across the state.
Mr Raji urged beneficiaries to utilize the seeds given to them appropriately. He assured Federal Government’s continuous support to farmers in order to achieve the desired objectives.
Deputy project manager Bakolori irrigation scheme, Mr Tukur Abdullahi and Alh Hassan Kwazo, the Sarkin Noma of Zamfara, on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
