In continuation of the exercise for disbursement of this year’s scholarship/study allowances embarked upon by the Federal lawmaker representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, the committee had this weekend settled students of five tertiary institutions.
Institutions treated in the exercise are Zamfara State University Talata Mafara (ZAMSUT), Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences (CAAS) Bakura and Zamfara State College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST)Tsafe.
The rest are Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau and Zamfara State College of Arts and Science ZACAS Gusau.
According to the Chairman of the committee Muhammad Lawal Adamu, ZAMSUT students received 40,000 naira each while students of CAAS Bakura, ZACAS Gusau, FCET and CHST Tsafe were given 30,000 naira each.
The overall objectives of the scholarship project initiated by the lawmaker is to ease the burden of studies among both the parents and students especially at the time when people battles with daily bread.
