The chairman, Zamfara state council of chiefs and Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad has lauded Action Capacity Building Group (ACBG) for motivating distinguished personalities who excelled in developing their communities.
The Emir made the commendation in a keynote address at a ceremony to honour some personalities who immensely contributed in the positive development of their respective communities recently in Gusau. He stressed that the group’s foresight and initiative of honouring such individuals was a good motivational strategy worth emulating by civil society groups.
Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad described the event as historical and morale booster for philanthropists and younger generation.
Presentation of the honorary awards was conducted at the 3rd National conference organised by Action capacity building ACB Group held at Ja’iz hotel, Gusau.
Those honoued included,. Special Adviser on Religious affairs, Alhaji Bello Isah Almufuti,. Commissioner for humanitarian affairs, Alhaji Salisu Kainuwa Tsafe, Malan Hafizu Umar Gusau, and General Manager of CSDP, Malan Umar muhammad Gusau respectively.
Others were Hajiya Lubbuna Baba Gusau, (uwar marayun Gusau), and Alhaji Yazeed Shehu Danfulani.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Group Coordinator, Alhaji Bello Umar Sarkin kaciya yamma na Kaduna said the Action capacity building ACB decided to honour some keys prominent personalities in Zamfara state after careful appraisal of their achievements and contributions towards developing their various communities in Zamfara state.
Sarkin kaciya yamma Kaduna also noted that this was w3rd national conference of the Group in the country. The 1st was conducted in Abuja, second in Kaduna, and now in Gusau, Zamfara state.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of Action Capacity Building, ACB, Malan Manniru Usman noted that this year’s national conference topic focused on education and skills acquisitions as bedrock of national development and solution to current economic and political problems.
He further stated that the Group had conducted careful research on prominent personalities and philanthropists who had greatly contributed in helping poor and vulnerable people across with the aim of honouring and encouraging them to continue performing the significant role towards the development of their communities.
