The emir of Anka Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad has commended governor Dauda Lawal for supporting the bill to establish alternative dispute resolution centers across the state.
The emir made the commendation while speaking to journalists shortly after attending public hearing at state house of assembly on a bill for the establishment of Multi Door court house (Alternative Dispute Resolution Centers)organized by Zamfara state house of assembly sponsors by Zamfara state government and Alert International.
Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad describe the move as commendable an effort creat alternative dispute resolution centers that would help in decongestion of the conventional courts and ensure peace full coexistence within families and communities .
He said, the traditional rulers are the most people happy with the introduction of this new system of justice because it will reduce burden on their daily activities people are always coming to them for one dispute or another.
He assured that the traditional rulers would give all the necessary support and cooperation for the bill to succeed and ensure its full implementation for the benefits of the people particularly at the grass roots.
He calls for inclusion of traditional rulers in the implementation and training and retraining of traditional rulers in modern technics of
alternative dispute resolution to enhance their skills in dispute resolution.
