The deputy general secretary, administration of (NURTW) National Union of Road Transport Workers, Alh Sanusi Tatimu has called on motorists across the country to drive with care during and after the ember months period of festivities.
He made the call during a radio phone -in programme, issues of the moment, aired on Radio Nigeria Network service Monday 20th Nov 2023.
Alh Sanusi Tatimu called on motorists and members of the Union to always ensure that their vehicles are road worthy before moving from point A to point B.He said that they should check what he called ( WOT) which means water, oil and tyres as well as wipers,traficators and other accessories for a smooth drive
He appealed to members to always obey traffic rules and cooperate with security agencies and other relevant stakeholders on the highway of the country and also avoid drunk driving.He further cautioned on over speeding and dangerous over taking.
Alh Sanusi Tatimu appealed to members to always avoid overloading and to always use their seat belts while on the wheel. He opined that the Union is always training its members nationwide.

Alh Sanusi Tatimu appealed to Union leadership in the states, branches and remotest areas to always cooperate with security agencies especially in this trying moments of insecurity and to promptly report any suspicious character to the appropriate authority.
