The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and CiVil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha has commenced the retraining of the first batch of the private Guard Companies in Zamfara State at the State Command Headquarters Gusau.
Declaring the training open, Commandant Sani Mustapha emphasized on the need for the retraining and harps on professionalism and intelligence gathering amongst the members of the Private Guards.

Commandant Sani Mustapha averred that, NSCDC is saddled with the core mandate to register, train, supervise, monitor and checkmate the activities of all private Guard Companies in the nation as contained in section 3 of the 2003 and 2007 Act as amended. It is to this end that the Corps has packaged a two week training and retraining exercise for the Private Guards in Zamfara State.
Commandant Sani Mustapha said the aim of the training is to instill professionalism and discipline amongst the personnel of all the PGC .

The state Commandant, Sani Mustapha opined that the professional conducts of PGC could help in the reduction of insecurity in the state, hence the Corps is poised to turn out well disciplined and security professionals amongst the PGC.
The State NSCDC Boss, Commandant Sani Mustapha advised the General public to always patronize the Private Guard Companies for their private security services and to avoid quacks that could ruin the security of lives and properties.

The total of about fifty security personnel across the 34 registererd guard Companies are to be intensively trained by the Corps for the next two weeks.
