The State Commandant of the Corps in Zamfara State Command, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu has charged all trailer drivers who intend to transport any kind of precious stones considered to be solid mineral resources across Zamfara State to other states of the Federation to obtain the relevant documents from the owners of the goods for the purpose of security clearance while on transits.
Briefing Newsmen and the Leaderships of the National Association of Trailer Owners and National Union of Road Transport workers Trailer branch, Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu posits that, there are specified prerequisite documents which are meant to be made available to Corps by any trailer driver carrying suspected precious stones across the State.

He said that the documents such as;
License to Posses and Purchase Minerals, Evidence of Payment of Royalty, Mineral Title if the solid mineral is coming from a legal Source, Agent Movement Permit and Mineral buying certificate must be presented to the personnels of the Corps saddled with the responsibility to monitor mining activities in the state.
Commandant MB Muazu opined that the Solid Mineral Department of the Corps has been empowered by the NSCDC Act 2007 as amended to checkmate illegal mining and dealings across the Federation.

Commandant MB Muazu reiterated that in the advent of failure to present the stipulated documents, the driver and whosever that might be involved will be prosecuted and the truck and its contents confiscated by the Federal Government.
The duo chairmen of the two Associations,(NATO and NURTW Trailer branch) Lawali Danda and Bashir Haruna who were in the briefing attest that the Corps has been fair to the members of the associations. They promised to take the enlightenment to all members of the associations.
They also pledged to collaborate with the Corps by delegating members of the associations to work closely with the SMD unit of the Corps om Zamfara State.

The two chairmen also assured the Corps and the good people of Zamfara State of good conduct and to jettison any form of protest that could jeopardize the economy and traffic flow of the state.
