The Coalition of Kaduna Stakeholders Forum has called on the EFCC, ICPC, and orthers relevant authorities for not hesitate, don’t falter to Investigate fully. the former Kaduna State governor Malam Nasir Ahmad El-rufai over the misappropriation of N423b allegations of corruption and financial mismanagent revealed by Kaduna State house of assembly.
The appealed was contained in a statement signed and delivered by the forum convener’s, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad during the International press conference held at Arewa house in Kaduna.
According to the Coalition the former governor have accused on light rail project allegedly saw ₦1.37 billion diverted into private accounts, with no project executed.
The forum however accused El-rufai Senior aides of money laundering, including ₦64.8 million siphoned from state accounts, and sums of over ₦155 million were allegedly misappropriated through dubious cash payments and contracts.
The forum convener’s also demanded anti corruption agencies, If culpable, prosecute decisively, Precedence must be set, and the rule of law must prevail. No one is above the law. Not El-Rufai. Not his friends. Not his political patrons.
“the Coalition speaks today with unflinching clarity. Nasir El-Rufai cannot hide behind lies, distractions, or cheap political theatre. The people of Kaduna will not be deceived, manipulated, or intimidated.”
The forum also clarified that, it’s not about the President, not National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, it’s a distractions created by El-rufai desperate to escape the consequences of his own actions.
“He must face the people alone, and answer for every policy, every demolition, every heart he broke, and every life affected under his administration.”
“during El-rufai administration Thousands of civil servants and teachers were dismissed, leaving families destitute and communities destabilised. Up to eighteen markets were demolished, crushing livelihoods, shattering businesses, and leaving entire communities in economic ruin.”
“Artificial religious enmity was created between the major faiths in Kaduna State. Land was seized with impunity. Homes were demolished. Families were displaced without warning, without compensation, and without care. Controversial mobile courts during the COVID-19 period inflicted injustice on ordinary citizens.”
This was not governance. It was authoritarianism disguised as reform. It was brutality disguised as progress. These are not political claims. These are the lived realities of Kaduna citizens who demand justice.
The Convener however explained that, “El-Rufai now seeks cheap sympathy, invoking allies he publicly insulted, while bitterly nursing personal disappointment over failing to secure a ministerial appointment.
If we are to believe his claim that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu dislikes him, how can someone who named his son after you, in admiration, not like you, yet now he claims otherwise? His hypocrisy is exposed.
To the people of Kaduna: ignore his distractions, his lies, and his attempts to incite violence. He is a drowning man attempting to drag others under with him. Do not follow. Do not fear. Stand firm. Demand justice.
Kaduna Stakeholders will not rest. Kaduna will not be intimidated. Kaduna will not forget. Accountability must be delivered. Justice must be seen. Precedence must be made.
