About 100 students are to benefits from former governor of zamfara state senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar scholarship initiative in Gusau local government.
This was disclose by the Gusau local government coordinator of the program Eng. Babangida Abdullahi Gusau while speaking to journalists in his office in Gusau the state capital.
He said adequet arrangement has been put in place to ensure that only the intended beneficiaries benefited program who are orphans and vulnerable children who may not the opportunity to further their education to universities level.
Babangida further said various universities has been contacted to seek for their cooperation and assistance towards having a successful program.He said as soon as universities issued admission letters the screening would commence based on the stipulated guidelines and any successful candidate would be granted full scholarship from beginning to end of his studies.
He said emphasis would be given to sciences subjects.
He said former governor senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar is determine to ensure that the vulnerable children in Zamfara have access quality education just like any other child.
He commended senator Yari for this wonderful idea that would solely be finance by him.
