JAMILU SANI TSAFE
The Hausa Department of the Federal College of Education (Technical), FCE(T) Gusau, has honoured the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency, Mallam Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to education and human development.
The award was presented during the department’s graduation ceremony and turbaning of new executives of the Hausa Association held at the college over the weekend.
Representing the Deputy Governor at the event, the Director of Administration, Alhaji Dahiru Sani Gusau, commended the management, lecturers and staff of the college for their commitment and dedication which he said had contributed significantly to the successes recorded by the institution.
He congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be good ambassadors of FCE(T) wherever they find themselves. He also encouraged them to pursue further education, acquire additional skills and contribute positively to societal development.
The Deputy Governor further advised continuing students to remain focused and devote themselves fully to their studies in order to achieve academic excellence.
He also expressed appreciation to the Hausa Department, describing the recognition as a great honour and encouragement to do more for education in the state.
In demonstration of his support for the Hausa Association, he donated the sum of ₦200,000 to the newly turbaned executives of the association.
The occasion drew members of the college management, academic and non-academic staff, students, traditional and community leaders, as well as other distinguished guests who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students.
