The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) has received the State Standing Committee on Musabaqa alongside Gwani Muhammad Abdullahi Marafa, who emerged 5th in the world in the Male Category of an international Qur’anic recitation competition.
Receiving the delegation on a courtesy visit, the Deputy Governor described the achievement as a source of pride to the state and a testament to the dedication of the winner, his teachers, parents and the committee.
Mani Malam Mummuni expressed appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal for his support to the committee, noting that, the administration’s commitment to education and religious knowledge made the success possible.
He commended the committee for preparing participants for national and international contests and urged them to sustain the efforts. He also encouraged the winner to remain humble and focused on continuous improvement.
The Deputy Governor assured the committee of continued government support for Qur’anic education and youth development. He promised to personally lead them to present the winner to Governor Lawal upon his return for formal recognition.
The committee thanked the Deputy Governor for the reception and reaffirmed its commitment to developing more talents for Zamfara.
