The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has flagged off the foundation-stone-laying, also unveiled the approved master plan for the construction of Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe.
The Governor also hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his tremendous effort in the approval and release of TETFund intervention for the take-off facilities of the university.
The governor made the commendation during the foundation laying ceremony and unveiling of the approved master plan programme, held at the university permanent site, in Tsafe local government of Zamfara state.
Governor Dauda Lawal has also assured the Management of the institution for his government commitment of sustainable support for speedy progress of the University, “as everyone is aware that education has given a top priority for our government.”
“I have directed the state ministry of Urban Planning and Development to assess the vacant landmark of Seventy Hector’s measured earlier, and the additional Thirty Hector’s for University extension plan.”
“to prepare report for the land valuation, develop in payment of compensation to land owners for my finals approval”.
In his addressed, the distinguish Senator representing Zamfara central senatorial districts, Ikra Aliyu Bilblis, has thanks Almighty Allah for given him the wisdom, guidance and concerns initiative of the bills and strength, determination and commitment to overcome all the challenges involves in the process for the establishment of the University.
Senator Ikra also expressed that, education remains the most powerful tools we have to secure for the children that derived the development, innovation and peace for both urban and rural communities.
Bilbis however, appreciate governor Dauda Lawal for his commitment and personal interest in ensuring the smooth and speedy existence of the institution without any delay.
He further commended the royals fathers in the state for their selfless patriotism and dedication towards struggling the establishment of the University.
He however saluted the outstanding roles played by the Secretary for the state government, Alhaji Abubakar Na Kwada, which office always remains as Major point of contact with state government throughout the process from the beginning up to the end.
Also speaking on behalf of the entire Royal Father’s, the Emir of Anka Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, Thanks governor Dauda Lawal, Senator Ikra Aliyu, Secretary to the state government, and others contributed towards the establishment of the institution.

Earlier, in his addressed, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for the establishment and support to the institution.
“on behalf of management staff and students, have equally greatfull to governor Dauda Lawal for his support and commitment to the university development.”
The Vice Chancellor further saluted senator Ikra Aliyu Bilblis,who described as the “building-block” of the University, who immensely provided a credible representation to his constituency.
