The Kaduna state governor Senator Una Sani has reiterated his administration commitment to continues invest strategically in infrastructure within the premises of Ahmadu Bello
university, also the interventions in access roads are intended to strengthen the institution’s environment to deliver on its mandate of teaching, learning, research, and innovation.
The governor made the pledge through his deputy, Hajiya Hadiza Balarabe during the 2026 annual get together and awards, organised by Ahmadu Bello University Alumnus Kaduna state chapter, held at Sardauna foundation hall
in Kaduna.
According to the governor, the government is undertaking the rehabilitation and construction of roads, expanding urban infrastructure, improving transportation networks, strengthening the state security architecture, and providing other critical public utilities across y communities.
“these investments are creating a safer, more connected, and enabling environment that supports education, stimulates economic growth, attracts investments, and improves the quality of life for all residents of the state.”
He however stressed that,through strategic partnerships with development partners and sustained budgetary commitments, the government is laying a solid foundation for an educated, skilled, and globally competitive generation.
As an administration, we firmly believe that investing in education is the most enduring investment any government can make. Every classroom renovated, every teacher trained, every child returned to school, and every institution strengthened represents an investment in the future prosperity, peace, and competitiveness of Kaduna State..
Uba Sani further commended the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association for sustaining the ideals of the university through mentorship, philanthropy, networking, and support for educational advancement.

While addressing the newsmen’s the President Worldwide of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Adamu Mamman Kontagora (Barden Kontagora), has call on university graduates across Nigeria to actively contribute to the development of their alma maters, stating that government funding alone is no longer sufficient to sustain higher education.
Braden Kontagora however explained that, the world-renowned institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge rely heavily on endowment funds and alumni contributions for infrastructural and academic growth.
He also noted that, the university is subsequently graduating at least 25,000 students per convocation annually,.
Kontagora further acknowledged the support of the Kaduna State Government, specifically expressing gratitude to Governor Senator Uba Sani for fulfilling pledges to upgrade the internal road networks across the university campus.
