The daughter of former military administrator of Lagos state and Chairman National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Brigadier general Mohammed Buba Marwa, Barrister Mariam Marwa Abdu has launched a hand written book on danger of early marriage and it’s consequences.
The book titled; “In the Shadow of the Neem Tree” inspired both academicians and stakeholders attended the official ceremonial programme, held at Gusau Institute in Kaduna.
In his remarks the Chief launcher, Alhaji Abdullahi Saifullahi Babangida, also the Chairman Delicious Group International Company who donated the sum of Twenty Millions N20, as support to promote her encouragement, motivation and zeal.
He however expressed that, “it’s great achievements having a young women written a book whichs actually made impact on free education to children, to religious and cultural values.
“given people’s education about a matter of led to have a better society also led to alleviate bad impression within the society.
In his book reviews, Dr Willy Mamah a Child Protection specialist UNICEF, said the hand written book it has a practical relevance, that’s need to translate it to outsiders in partnership with stakeholders for the change of this narrative.
Dr Mamah however noted that, the researched and documented have shown the lived realities of Muslims women’s across diverse contexts, challenging pretrialchall structures and interrogating traditional interpretation of Islamic texts.
She also provided essential updates, contextual analysis for the campaign for justice in Muslims family laws, with a particular focus on Nigerian Muslim family laws and practices.
According to the child protection specialist, the story contained in the book, would bring both depth and local expertise to international advocacy platform.

The author, Barrister Mariam Marwa Abdu, expressed that, ” what motivated to me to write is the Twenty years working to protect the right of women and children especially the girls childs.
She however explained that, the stories give us room to breathe, invites us to sit with a question to finger truly feel what’s means.
“The Neem free, stands in many of our compound, it doesn’t call attention to itself, it’s taste a bitter, yet it offers a cool, steady shade, it endures through the dry season.
“at one another all of come to moment when we need that kind of shade, from the harness of live, from uncertainty, and from things we are not yet ready to carry.”
