The Inspector General of Police Tunde Disu has attended the funeral prayers of 3 slain police officers killed by bomb explosion in Anka/Bagega road in Anka local government of zamfara state
Speaking during the event at the police headquarters in Gusau, he urged police officers not to despair but continue to fight the bandits until victory is achieved.
He called on the security agencies particularly the police to take the fight to the bandits enclave and their hide out.
He said this incident would continue to encourage the police to partner sister security agencies to sustain the onslaught against the criminals in the society until victory is achieved.
Disu prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and assured the families of the deceased that the police headquarters would whatever possible to assist them
Speaking on behalf of On behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, the secretary to the state government Malam Abubakar Nakwada conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the government and people of the state to the Inspector-General of Police, the Zamfara State Police Command, the bereaved families, and the entire Police community.
The gallant officers; SP Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, Insp. Auwal Ahmad, and Insp. Murtala Musa were tragically killed on Monday by an explosive device planted by bandit terrorists along Bagega Road in Anka local government area while on an operational duty.
The Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, led a high-powered state government’s delegation comprising Commissioners and Local Government Chairmen to the funeral prayers of the deceased on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal.
The prayers were led by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, at the Zamfara State Police Command Headquarters, Gusau, in accordance with Islamic rites.
