Member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal constituency in the green chamber Abuja Abdulmalik Zubairu has called for unity among party members and supporters, including those who contested against him in the just concluded APC primary election
He said unity among members is the backbone any political party because it brings cohesion and progress for better understanding
He also expressed his gratitude to God, his party the APC, and his constituents over his victory in the APC primary election.
He made the call while speaking with journalists in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State on the outcome of the APC primary election where he emerged victorious
Zubairu described the development as a victory for everyone in the constituency and state, commending the role of party leaders, his constituents, and the voters who supported him.
“I thank God for giving us life and the opportunity to participate in this election. I also thank our great party, the APC, for the confidence they placed in me, and our supporters who stood by us until we achieved this victory,” he said.
Abdulmalik Zanna Bungudu, said his experience in the National Assembly has strengthened his resolve to return, pointing to the contributions he has made in lawmaking.
The lawmaker also commented on the ₦130 million donation raised by his supporters for the purchase of nomination forms, describing it as surprising and unexpected.
Zanna Bungudu further stated that the money raised for him as a donation will instead be channeled into charitable works for the people of his constituency.
“I was surprised when I heard about the donation. I have decided that the money will be used for Sadaqah Jariyah, so that everyone who contributed will benefit from the reward,” he said
He expressed the need for everyone’s support from now on. He stress that Elections is not a one-man affair. He appeal to all stakeholders to come together so that our party can succeed at every level,
He also urged his constituents to continue praying for him and supporting him, stressing that their backing is crucial to achieving greater development in the constituency.
