The wife of Zamfara state governor, Dauda Lawal, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal football competition have commence with Thousands of spectators in attendance during the opening game which played between Jimmy FC verses Juventus FC.
The Tournament titled “MAMA HURIYYA 4+4 2026” sponsored by an All Progressive Congress APC aspirant bidding for Tsafe/ Gusau federal house of Representative, Alhaji Mustafa Salisu Kainuwa, in honoured of tribute to first Lady as recognition to her tremendous support commitment given to the people’s in the state especially Women.
The MAMA HURIYYA Football Tournament was recently flag off at the permanent site of national youth service Corp in Tsafe, Tsafe local government of Zamfara state.
In his addressed, Honourable Mustafa Salisu Musa Kainuwa, said the essence of organizing the tournament is to unified the youth as one entity and one umbrella despite their social, economic and political differences.
“Creating an avenue that would enhance mutual understanding, trust and embrace relationships between various fans and players from different clubs, for the development of football industry in our respective communities.”
He however reiterated his desired commitment in promoting sporting activities, by inviting scouters, and facilitate players for going to trial abroad, for those that opportune to play at Europe, e.g English premier League,Series A, among orthers.
He further pledge to establish an football academy in Tsafe for promoting football talents, in order to change the narrative from sports for pleasure to sports for business.
Alhaji Buba Turakin Bilbis, former permanent Commissioner, Zamfara state feeding agency, promised five thousand Naira (N5000) for each player scored for every match.
He however Urged players to accommodate discipline, fair play and embrace friendships while playing matches, avoid a do or die affairs, it’s a tournament that’s every player expected to display his talents.
While witnessing the opening ceremony, the Secretary APC Tsafe local government, Musa Fata, said football is the game that’s encourage discipline, respect and understanding between various categories of people’s.
It’s however avid youths for engaging in drug related abuse and other immoral Acts in the society.
Ahmad Abdullahi Kwanti, Chairman organizing committee also the Chairman association of football forum Tsafe local government, expressed that, Sixteenth (16) teams register for the competition, Ten within (10) Tsafe town, while Six(6) from outside Tsafe communities that’s include;
Yankuzo, Yandoton Daji, Bilbis, Kucheri, Kwarin maisaje and Yan warin Daji, Three hundred thousand (300,000) Price for first position while two and one hundred (200 &100) thousand, bags for second and third positions respectively, also fifty thousand will share to each clubs participated include Jerseys and balls.
