The zamfara state government has set up a technical planning committee to design how the state of emergency on education can be implemented in the state .
The commissioner overseeing the ministry of education Abdulmalik Gajam disclosed to newsmen while speaking to during a technical session of the committee
He said the state government decided to impose state of emergency on education due to deplorable condition of educational systems in state couple with insecurity.
He said the committee would design and overhaul entire education frame works with a view to achieving the desired goals
He said several sub committees were established to come up with far-reaching recommendations and decision that could help the aspiration of government in education.
Gajam said several schools would either be remodel renovated, reconstructed or rehabilited with emphasis on science and technology for the advancement of the state.He said emphasis would be made on providing the necessity for teachers and students in the areas of training and retraining of teachers and provisions general conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Also speaking to journalists on the activities of the committee, the permanent secretary of the ministry of education hajia Maryam Shantali commended the foresight of the state governor Dauda Lawal for coming up with the committee as it will go long way in tackling and reforming the entire education system in its present state.
She expressed optimism that the committee would live up to expectations as season education administrators were assemble to carry out the tasks.
