The wife of Tsafe local government Chairman, in Zamfara state, Alhaji Garba Shehu, Hajiya Suriyya Garba has launched the polio immunization campaigns rallied towards the awareness against the possibile return of polio disease in the area.
The campaign rallied which aimed for the awareness for peoples in the communities to embark and accepts the house to house immunization excises, held at Tsafe town in Tsafe local government of Zamfara state.
Speaking during the flag of ceremony, the Chairman Tsafe local government council, Alhaji Garba Shehu, commnded the Governor Dauda Lawal effort and commitment in partnership with non governmental organisation in fighting health related diseases affecting women’s and children in the state.
According to the Chairman, “recently the Zamfara state government benefited the sum of 1.6bn from UNICEF, for support to the fight against the health related diseases that affects; maternity women, widows and child’s related diseases.
He however explained that, the essence of this campaigns is to encourage the peoples collectively to the fight and eradication of polio disease alarming of it’s returning in Zamfara state, and Nigeria at large.
Garba Fanchest however noted expressed that, for successful polio eradication campaigns, the council have provided a free equipment to households women’s, maternities, and Children’s admitted at the hospitals.
Speaking, the wife of Tsafe local government Chairman, Hajya Surayya Garba fanchest, said ” the campaign is inline with the directives from the office of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu wife, Remi Tinubu, and Zamfara state governor wife Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal.
To create a mobilizations campaigns against the menace of polio and also encourage the society on it’s significants in making sure their child’s enrolled in taking the vaccines through immunization at every corner of the communities in our respective local government areas.
She also assure the peoples of Tsafe local government that, with their support and co operations polio will be eradicated totally in our areas, through the efforts of our capacity Chairman Garba Shehu.
The Ambassador, further hailed Hajiyya Huryya Dauda Lawal efforts in making the live of women and children better through the policies and programmes established in the state.
In their remarks, the Emir of Tsafe Alhaji Muhammad Bawa and Emir of Yandoto Alhaji Marafan Yandoto Alhaji Garba Marafa, reiterated their commitment to support government policies and programmes that’s would enhanced the live of their peoples positively.
They have assured a successful conduct of the immunization excises through liaison with district’s head’s and others traditional leaders in their respect areas.
The Emir’s have also saluted governor Dauda Lawal for the tremendous projects carriedout in Tsafe local government and its environs.
