The Zamfara State chairman of Zamfara Universal Education Board ZUBEC, Professor Nasiru Garba Anka has said that, Zamfara State has recorded 95% at the just concluded NECO common entrance examination.
He made this known at a Flagg-off ceremony of the distribution of teaching and learning materials in Zamfara State
He said, the success recorded was as a result of the giant efforts of Governor Dauda Lawal on education, as according to him, despite the security challenges in the state, the governor has put state of emergency on education, so that every child will be given a sound and quality education.
He however expressed his heartfelt gratitude to governor Dauda Lawal for his continued support to the education sector.
Professor Anka, also appreciated the support from Universal Basic Education UBEC Abuja, and the UNICEF for providing the essential resources, which undoubtedly enhance the quality of education in schools.
“To our partners, collaborators and volunteers, your dedication and commitment to improving education outcomes are really impressive, your efforts will have a lasting impact on the lives of our students and teachers.
“To the government and ministry of education officials, thank you for your presence and support.
Professor Anka concluded that, ” As we enbark on this journey to distribute these teaching and learning materials, we are reminded of the significance of collective action in shaping the future of our children.
He however warned that anybody found wanting will be dealth with, to serve as deterrent to others.
The distribution of teaching and learning materials ceremony which was held at the ZUBEB training center Gusau, was attended by all relavants Stakeholders within and outside the state.
Recall that all the materials distributed were procured by zamfara State government in Collaboration with Universal Education Board UBEC Abuja, and the UNICEF.
