The union president was speaking at the five -day stakeholders interactive meeting organized by Zamfara State Security Trust Fund held recently in Gusau the state capital to find ways of solving insecurity problems facing the state. He highlighted the numerous ways and means through which the problem had wreaked economic havoc on the hitherto vibrant socio-economic growth of the state.
Dr. Hassan Buhari Tafida lamented that ZACCIMA was sad to see how industries and businesses closed down or relocated to other areas due to insecurity. He added that farming and mining activities had suffered serious setbacks due to the same problem.
The union president also noted how peasant farming families were displaced, disintegrated and rendered incapable of farming their lands to make a decent living. He commended security agencies and other stakeholders for doing their best to solve the problem. He however stressed the need to re-evaluate the problem and come.up with more vigorous strategies of tackling its root causes.
