Dauda Lawal Contract Mobilisation Committee has distributed motor vehicles, motorcycles and money to its members to be self reliant.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony, the Deputy Governor, Malan Mani Malam Mummuni who was represented by the Commissioner, ministry for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Ahmad Garba Yandi said the empowerment assistance was a privilege for the beneficiaries to enable them conduct small scale businesses in order to be self reliant.
The contact mobilisation committee under the leadership of People Democratic Party, PDP, stalwart, Abubakar Iyan Rawayya was established to assist the Dauda Lawal campaign organization during the 2023 general election in Zamfara state. The committee has 14 local government chairmen and that the local government committee offices had played a major role and contributed to ensure Dauda Lawal became Governor in Zamfara state in year 2023.
The Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Ahmad Garba Yandi presented the gesture to the beneficiaries which included, motorcycles vehicles, and financial assistance and also urged them to use it to boost their business activities with view to be independent.
He also commended the effort of state leader of the committee , Abubakar Tsoho Iyan Rawayya as one of the prominent political figures of People Democratic Party, PDP, in Zamfara whom he described among the reliable companions of Governor Dauda Lawal.
He assured the fourteen local government branches of Dauda Lawal contact mobilisation committee of tangible support and encouragement to facilitate their political activities successfully.
In his earlier remarks, the founder and leader of Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee, Alhaji Tsoho Iyan Rawayya noted that the beneficiaries had played positive role and immensely contributed during the 2023 political campaign activities to ensure the success of the present administration in Zamfara state.
According to the political stalwart , Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee had shortlisted people who had made sacrifices during the general election of Dauda Lawal to be assisted reasonably to economically empower them.
He therefore called on other members of the committee to exercise patience as they will soon benefit from the gesture. He disclosed that the Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee will commence second part of the programme in the state.
During the event, the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Ahmad Garba Yandi has opened new office of Dauda Lawal Contact Mobilisation Committee in Gusau the state capital to commence the second part of the programme.
