The Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly and Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Rt Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has released the sum of N525,000 for the payment of tuition fees for 25 less privileged students in Hayatul Islam College and Islamic Studies to write their final year examination.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi and made available to journalists.
The Statement said the speaker released the funds during a private meeting with council of Ulamas and Imams from Afaka ward in his office on 30th January at the same time he also donated 2000 Blocks to another Islamiya School in Mando in order to secured their land already donated by the community.
Hon. Zailani further awarded two motorized borehole to the community, he said the intervention was done to support and encourage more less privilege to study in different fields of their choices
The scholarship is unpolitical and it effect all less privilege in respective of there political affiliations.
Kaduna speaker also direct the council of Ulamas to screen and bring authentic list of less privilege students from Afaka ward to be sponsor in high institutions.
You will recall that since 2010 the Kaduna speaker has been in sponsoring less privilege in different institutions in the country in respective of religion, tribe or political party.
The Ulamas thanked the gesture of the Speaker and also urges other well- to-do members of the community to emulate him.
