In his Commitment to ensuring watertight Security for the forthcoming 2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections Scheduled to hold on Saturday 18th March, 2023. The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, CP Kolo Yusuf psc, has today patrolled the popular Gusau – Yandoto – Tsafe – Funtua road in order to make the state safe and secured for free, fair and peaceful elections in the state.
The Commissioner of Police visited some Police checkpoints along the road, assuring the general public especially people of Zamfara state that Police and other security agencies are working assidously to ensure smooth conduct of the elections.
The CP further called on the electorates to confidently come out and exercise their franchise without any apprehension, as measures have been put in Place to make the environment secured for the election exercise.
To further strengthen the existing security emplacement, the Commissioner of Police directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police officers (DPOs) to adopt same initiatives in their respective jurisdictions calling on members of the public to be law abiding and report suspicious movement to the nearest Police Station for prompt action.
